Going Back to the Word
Let that declaration sink in for a minute— what would that look like for you? Why is the Bible, the word of God, worth the dedication of our entire year?
Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
There’s something about the power of the word of God that transcends the tangible parts of our world. The Bible can also help make sense of our most inner being- our thoughts and the things hidden in our hearts.
As we begin this year, it might be easy to get caught up in the busyness of life. But without the Bible, it will be difficult to live the life of full vision that comes with walking with God daily. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” God’s word is what actually brings light to the path we’re walking on and guides our every step!
We want to encourage you this year to dream and plan your path with the Bible as your guide. Start good habits with the excitement of the fresh start of the new year today! Let these habits carry you throughout the year when life gets busy and it becomes difficult to remember the dreams you made in the new year.
The 1-Year Bible Reading Plan we want to share with you was created by Mark Roberts and designed by Hello Revival. The five day structure allows flexibility and days of rest as needed. Its unique chronological order helps us to understand the timeline of the Bible stories.
Week 1 starts today! Join us as we build this year around the word of God.
